Ontario SP-8 Survival Machete .
Who has one and likes them , are they good ?

Thanks ....

I have one. It's a tree-cleaver.Very heavy for a short machete but brutaly strong.1/4"thick 1095and sharpened on 2 sides with the back having a set of saw-like teeth for notching.
If your looking for a light bush knife I'd recomend something lighter but if you want a good chopper for heavy woods than the SP-8 would be my choice.

|t's my usual large woods knife when i am camping. As already said it's solid and good for heavy duty tasks. The front is useful for chisel type uses and digging. If you are interested in a more knife based shape the marine raider bowie is a good option. :)
