I recently bought a used Ontario SP3. They're out of production & I couldn't find a new one. It's a bastard child of the Case V-42 & the M3 trench knife.
The blade & pommel have scratches so I decided to remove the coating. Just as I sat down to do so I noticed a slight ticking or rattle between the handle & blade when it's wiggled side to side. Noi more used knives for me. Does anyone know if these can have the handles removed & reattached? Does anyone do this? It's not a high dollar collectable or anything but I 'm building a dagger collection & wanted one of these to go with my V-42s & M3 specimens. Ideas?
