Ontario SP3

Anyone have one of these? Just looking for opinions on the knife. Also, is it closer to a V-42 pattern or is it more of a Fairbarin-Sykes style knife.

Its real close copy of the M3 Trench Knife. I like mine.

I used to have one.
the blade is way tougher than the FS or the V42.thicker.

Ontario seem to have taken that one out of production.

as many Freedom Fighters also .

Found one of these for $30 at a local pawnshop should I jump on it? is it discontinued?

If it is anything like the many SP's i have, it is worth $30 all day long IMHO. I don't care for that style of blade but my SP's take a beating & laugh at me.

Ontario's SP line is good stuff. I'd grab ANY of them for $30.

Sweet guys thanks I picked it up it's nice but won't take an edge, oh well I'll be using it for stabbing anyways the sheath is beautiful too

I've had 2. I bought one pretty well used & it had a slight side to side wiggle between the blade & handle when I shook it. I sold it & bought a new one on Ebay that I spent a lazy weekend reprofiling.

It's the illegitimate lovechild of the M3 trench knife (blade) & the Case V-42 stiletto (updated handle). It feels good in hand & the blade is stouter than most combat daggers.

Nice, I like it so far but the damn thing won't take an edge, I also just bought an SP5 for $35, cannot wait to get that, maybe it'll outchop my BK9, either way I'm glad I got 2 discontinued Ontarios for around $30, that's exciting
