I'm trying to decide between these two knives. Both are very similar with small differences such as the blade lengh (one is 8.8 other is 9.4) and the curve of the blade. I'm looking for a good wood cutter and wasn't sure which blade shape would work better. If anyone has these knives i would love to hear about it. Thanks!

the SP52 might chop a tiny bit better, but I would personally prefer the SP50 - likely easier to sharpen.

Im sitting on the same fence, but leaning towards the sp52. The sp50 looks great, but I like the recurve on the 52; the sp50 kinda looks like a bigger version of my esee 6, bladewise.

Can't comment on either of those but this re-handled SP48 is one of my favorites. I prefer the thinner blade and a little more belly. Been thinking of picking up a 50 though. The Gen IIs are wonderful blades for the money.

I got the 52 ffg bolo  one of the most underrated choppers, or maybe I should say one of the least mentioned.

You'd probably get good use out of any of the four (50-53). The saber grinds might split wood (endwise) a tad better. Conversely, the two with full flat grinds are a bit lighter and should be less fatiguing when clearing light brush.
