The crossguard on my SP2 appears to be made entirely of rubber (kraton). Anyone cut these off before? I don't like how it gets in the way and I am not about to go around knife fighting or whatever its for.
Anyway, just now I cut the Kraton guard off with a razor blade and its a much more functional not tacticool knife.
Seems like its now going to be easier to work with wood with this knife. I cut into a stump earlier today and the crossguard (lower part) was already getting damaged. Also the upper crossguard made it hard to get my thumb up on top. Now its not in the way. It also looks a lot less SPECIAL OPERATIONS KILL SQUAD RAMBO intimidating, which is a good thing I think.
