I haven't been on this forum long but visited it everyday since i have found it.It has helped me with knive purchases and it is very entertaining.I have purchased 3 Esee, knives since I have been on here that is how I found this forum through their web site.I also aquried a couple of the Becker knives.I have been on here long enough to realize that when kukri or khukri is brought up everyone seems to be an H.I. fan.I have looked at them and looked at them no offense but the looks ,and the sheaths just do not hit me like other knives do.To be frank i'm not interested. To me it's like my truck or car I first liked the looks of my Dodge then I went to look it over and bought one.If the looks had not caught my eye I may have been driving a Chevy.I'm sure they are all they are said to be.I just don't think i would ever be happy with one maybe later. That being said i'm interested in the C.S.gurkha kukri sk5(would like find one in carbon v)and the Ontario Spec Plus kukri.I would appreciate any info I could get on these two.I would appreciate suggestions on anything similar.I have never had a knife like these although I have several knives way,way more than I would ever need.I want this knife to strap to my pack and take hiking, camping.I have an estwing camp axe,got a few trail hawks on the way,but I want a big chopper. These are the ones I am interested in C.S. Trailmaster,ESEE Junglas, and the two mentioned above. Thanks for reading and once again any advice would be appreciated. Also I don't need any of these knives I just want them.

I actually like the Ontario Spec Plus line. I have not had their Khukuri, but I have had several different models of their, including the Bowie, Fighter, & Machete.

I replaced the Ontario SP Machete with a Camillus made Becker BK3 Tac-Tool, but I would've been fine keeping the Ontario.

For bang for the buck, the CS is probably the best deal.

I have a marine raider bowie i modified abit.I cut the top pc. of the gaurd off rounded and smoothed it out. It hit me in the web of my hand funny and was uncomfortable.I like the knife very much ,however I do not care for the sheath that much.
