Ontario TAK -1 Knife Help

Guys I am looking at getting a TAK-1 from Ontario knives. Has anyone out there had any experience with one of these? My biggest question is weather to get the D-2 or 1095. I know the arguments for both steels. The D-2 holds an edge longer and is tougher yet it is way harder to sharpen in the field. While the 1095 sharpens easily in the field but may rust easier if not properly maintained. Any thoughts I value your opinions heavily.
 
I have a TAK-1 in 1095. I have beat the snot out of it, it just keeps comming back for more. I've not had any rust problems. The coating on the blade seems to take care of that. I just spray some oil or cooking spray on it without the scales ever so ofton. Never had a D2 knife. Hope this helps.
