After 5 years, I finally got around to getting a clip point version, without the "ribs" on the handle. I had not purchased one earlier because I thought it would be big, and heavy. It is actually fairly short, and reasonably weighted. It is almost identical in size to the Kershaw Launch 1, and the Knockout. It fits my medium hand very well. It would be even better for a small hand. The handle is fairly grippy, but the gimping is perfect (not sharp). The handle edges are not sharp. The blade came pretty sharp. I also really like the thumbstud/position, and the substantial, gimped lockbar. Unlike the Tenacious series, I was able to move the pocket clip to my position of choice without stripping the screws, or holes. The most amazing thing about this $25 knife is the smooth reliable deployment (like the Rat).

Maybe it is time to offer different handle colors.

I like to compare them to the value you get with the CS AUS8 Voyagers, a true bang-for-your-buck folder that can take abuse, has very decent steel and really nice ergos

Another Utilitac fan here!

I like them better than the RATs, though they are a different category of knives all the way

I do love mine too. It feels more compact and it's easier to flick open than the RAT1, which is also excellent.

I used to have a ZT 0350. I sold it when I bought my Ontario Utilitac 2. Other than the assisted opening and flipper, the Utilitac 2 gives me all of the functionality I had with the ZT at a much lower price. It's a phenomenal heavy duty EDC.

I have both the plain edge Tanto and the black coated drop point with the rounded handles. I like the handle and blade setup on the tanto better, even though I usually don't like a tanto for what I do. Great bang for your buck knives!

I will go so far to say that it is one of the most well built budget folders I encountered! And this version of the handle is very ergonomic in most holds.
