I want that smell again! My RC-4 had two distinct smells, one was the micarta and the other was probably the powder coating. Fresh from the factory!

The smell is tuf glide or some similiar dry lube. Helps keep my knives pretty

I was thinking this too... maybe an RC blade on the album jacket or something...

If you do take a pic of all the RP knives together Mrs Shotty, post it on the wall to remind the Mr why he need to supply you with an endless supply of chocolate and cider.... Hope you do take a pic and post it!

I have to agree--they do have the best out-of-box smell.

We got one random Kabar at the shop once that kind of freaked us out. The leather handle smelled like hotdogs. JUST LIKE HOTDOGS!!!

I think that was the smell of tuf-cloth.

I use Eezox on my blades and like the smell of that too.

i'll try to remember. i want a video of our little ups guy bringing the box to the door! i think it might just break him in 1/2. he's probably 140 lbs after a big meal at the buffet and carrying books.
