Ooooooold Case

I was digging through my buckets of Case knives and ran across this guy. Thought I'd share some quick pictures if anyone's interested.

Couldn't make out the tang stamp, or even tell there was one, when I first laid hands on it.

I've been looking through my Knives & Razors 7th Edition and think I've found the right model. No shield on the book knife but everything else matches up right.

Oh. I was going to guess back scratcher. I would have looked stupid.

I'm admittedly ignorant on traditionals but that is the first time I've seen that on an old knife.

I'm having a heck of a time tracking down the model number. There's the 9445R I already posted above that has the right tool combination but not the right scales.

Here it's the other way.

So were there multiple configurations that all fell under -445R then?

Before WW2 there were a bunch of different can openers. Then the hooked one came out and pretty much everyone switched.

I’m sure there are exceptions but you can pretty much tell if a knife is Pre or post WW2 by the can opener.
