It is kinda rough, but it is very functional.

what is this cutting a wave in a knife? What is the function, not trying to be smart just trying to figure it out :) I mean if you mod it and it works for you then all is well  Im a traditional pocket knife guy so alot of this stuff is beyond me :) Interesting none the less
cheers

It snags on the edge of the pocket on the draw, throwing the blade open. The benefit is having a knife that opens faster than an auto.

Did the same to my old Endura 3 a week ago. Now I have a waved Endura 3 SE. But regretted the modification even if it was perfectly executed. Realized the wave is not for me, can't pull it out now without it opening or partially opening.

Twist the knife the other way a little bit.

After i saw your benchmade i've been looking at some of my knives, like my beatup 630 i sold my brother i think i want it back. I have a marzitelli knife with the flipper it ripped my pants up pretty good, SOLDIER you have that problem?

Never had a problem with flipper knives(like the ZT0200). Now days I buy knives almost strictly that have the "meat" near the thumbstud to cut a wave into.

Here's a couple of demos, of how a wave opens the knife; I'm posting these for the opening technique only, to give you an idea of how a Wave feature works. I just ignore the flipping-the-knife around part.

and here's one where the guy in the video has a zip-tie as a Wave:

I could get my old SchradeUSA LB7 out of it's sheath, and open, with one hand, in less than 1.5 seconds when I was in high school. So, while I truly do admire fast-opening knife designs, I've never really felt the need to own them.

thx - cpr

pretty cool, not my thing but cool! I'm with ORca on this i can open most of mine pretty fast not wave fast but fast enough to attack boxes or my lunch :D
cheers

sorry, by "flipper" i meant it is waved, i think he calls it the "marz-flipper" or something, i haven't seen it on any of his recent knives but it is a wave feature, not like the kershaw knives. the wave features are awesome, also makes for a spanish guard of sorts. not so much on the beretta knife though cause it didn't have the meat the bm 630 had on it.

What can I say... I'm nuts. I can't remember how many good knives I've "ruined". The scary thing is when I'm looking at custom folders, I'm thinking about how much better they would be with a wave.

Yeah Dood---but you didn't ruin the Avenger! That wave looks Awesum!
I'm EDCing an Avenger 2. That knife is my First pick!! ;)

Me too. Mine goes in my left rear pocket. My waved double edge BM630 goes in my right front. Helluva weapon presentation.
