I revisited the pawn shop in Fort Lauderdale where I got the 124 and the 1967 103. Let me start by saying this guy has no idea what he has. The haul this time was only 2 knives. A Ver. 1 112 with black micarta handles and a 560. They both need cleaning and sharpening but are in excellent condition. Sheaths came with both.

Mitch, Nice catch on the 112. Whats the year date on the 560? Those feel light in the hand. My Dad worked for Kenworth. DM

The kind of authority figure that scared me as a kid wore this hat.

Funny, I was reminising about this very thing when my daughter-in-law told her family story: Her father, a career federal forest manager, would give the kids a jolt by dressing in a full Smokey Bear costume and chasing them around. They, two sisters and one brother, were scared out of their wits as when in costume Dad was Smokey, a big bear with a shovel! Smokey didn't speak words only bear noises!!! They could not run to Dad for protection because he wasn't there when Smokey was.....

Nice haul Mitch...

My hat is off to you on that one :thumbup:
