This weekend I needed to paint some metal parts with silver metallic paint. So I grab my month old CRK fixed blade and use it to contruct a paint booth. ( Do I need to go on? )

So, happy with the paint booth, I bring over the pieces arrange them. Re read the paint spray can to make sure I know what I'm doing.

OK! I'm ready, spraaaay, spraaaaaay, spraaaaaaaaay. Wow, This stuff is really bright silver! I'm happy. Then I look down. I had left the knife and the sheath inside the paint booth.

NOOooooooo!

So now I have a knife and a sheath with a nice sheen of light silver overspray.

I guess they really are mine now!

Doh! Since it is a user it is just more character. It still stings but it is completely different from painting your NIB month old CRK fixed blade. I hear that if you even dent the box it looses value :D. Anyway, did you try the usual solvents?
