Was over at Indian George's last Saturday, and had a great time. George had a friend Mike over there and was showing Mike some heat treatment techniques. Every time in between temper heats, Mike would let me handle the blade, damn if I didn't drop it.
Would you believe it, George even invited me back for more...Thanks George!!
I'll definately be at the North East hammerin.:D

That's the way George is, I cut accidently cut the belt on his KMG rotary platen :( and he still lets me come back. See you at the Hammer-In.

As far as George was concerned, I'm sure he didn't mind, I think Mike was the offended party on that one. George said something about the blade not breaking or bending :D and we all had a bit of a chuckle about it and went on with business. while I was there, I also observed the consturction of some material for canister welding, very cool.
See you all at the hammer-in :D

I don't know guys about Larry???? He rides a Harley, has tatoos, wears glasses, has a beard and likes knives. Sounds kind of shady to me. Now if he had earrings that would be a different story.
Larry, Mike wasn't upset he just thought you were all fingers. Good thing the blade was clay hardened and had a lot of spring to it.
The canister welded up solid. Need to make up square dies to keep the pattern true.
Jerry, I let you back????

IG, I'll have to clean the crud out of the piercing in my ear, got a couple of old e-rings laying around somewhere....hhhhmmmm....where'd I put those things...hhhmmm.... :D

Lets see, im 29 cant grow a beard used to ride a honda till i totaled it have tatoos(big ones) no earrings. Damnit, im almost cool enough :)

Well Daniel, you are heading in the right direction. You got rid of the Rice Burner.:D :D :D
Larry, you are the offical Arc Welder at the Hammer-In.

IG,

Guess ya gotta be something! By the way, what's the name of that place where you got the blower for the forge?

IG,

Vendor-Surplus Center www.surpluscenter.com, yep they do have an online store. The blower cost $18.99 after shipping it was a little over $30. Still better than I've found in MSC or Grainger. Shipping by UPS Ground, what's that, 3 to 10 working days? Should be in soon, maybe not before the hammer-in but when it comes it ought to save me a lot on fuel, as that hair dryer certainly does not put out the cfm like that blower will. See Ya :D

Cool!! Are you going to do the samething , use the small one with a hose on it to blow in front of the forge???
I got the cylinder for my hydraulic press from them too.

Yeah, that's the plan. I'm going to modify my horizontal forge to use the blower also, don't know if I'm going to add another burner and keep the venturi type or modify them for a blower....  :D

J. Neilson is thinking of doing the same on his venturi. I was talk to John Frankl, he said that he doesn't use a cap on the end of the 1/4 npt in the burner tube. So I was thinking (I know scary) drill and tap a 1/4 npt hole on the bruner tube and put in male quick connects and run it to a T fitting just before the needle valve. Run 2 blowers or make a manifold???
Larry, you should bring your venturi forge with you so we can check it out. I know it will be a bitch to fit it into the saddle bags.:D :D :D

IG,
Your right! It'd be hell bungee cording that on the cycle, so, maybe I'll drop by this weekend with the forge and leave it for a while. Since your area is "Parking Challanged", I definately want to take the bike for the hammer-in. I can park it with the Indian's and Harley's. I can fit more beer on the bike than forges anyway, right? :D

I will be here. The dude with the Sportster will be here on Sunday. Going to due up the lower legs, fender struts and fit a set of dual tanks.
The only thing that you are going to fit beer in is yourself.;) ;) ;) :D :D
