Note to self: Pineapple is a very acidic fruit.

I was chopping up a fresh pineapple this evening, using my AK just for the heck of it. I seem to have accidentally etched it.

If only I had given it a quick scrub and degreasing, this might have turned out really well. In about five minutes flat this is what I ended up with.



in this one you can see how irregular the etching was in some places, as well as the temper line.


In summation: Pineapples are both delicious and dangerous.

I decided to let one of my Khuks stain a bit. I personally like the patina. It is starting to even out a bit. It looks a bit like a case hardened reciever on an antique shotgun or lever action
