Here is one that I recentely finished. It has a 6 1/4" forged blade of 52100. It has been etched to show the hamon. The overall length is 11" not counting the buttcap nut. The fittings are blued mild steel and feature a coin edged guard, a grooved spacer, a checkered spacer and a grooved spacer. Tha handle material was supplied by the customer and is a gorgously colored piece of oosic. I showed both sides of the knife to show the color of the handle material. I hope you enjoy.

That's a stunning knife Craig. I particularly like the treatment of the asymmetrical coin-edged guard and grooved ferrule. Nice looking oosic as well - almost looks like walrus ivory. Classy piece.

Great work overall, the ferrule and coin edge guard really stand out without overshadowing that beautiful handle.

Well... all's I can say is that I think that is one of the nicest pieces I've seen from you Mr. Camerer... Who ever ends up with it will indeed have an awesome addition to their collection...
Congrats on a fine knife!

Thanks for the comments guys. The arrangement of the fittings is something I do on a few of my fancier bowie type knives. I usually use the arrangement with ivories and fancy oosics for the handle material. Along with the guard being assymetrical to the handle it is also more of a tear dropped shaped than oval. It is larger at the top and tapers gradually as it flows to the bottom.
The new owner should have it in a day or so.
