people of Busse knives and Jerry,
I was knocking your SH2 on these forums. I owed and purchased it around 95'. on new year's eve 2000. I decided to test(abuse) the knife and a friend was gonna make a dish with a coconut. so I pulled out my SH2. the blade chipped so bad.
well after that, I thought there was something wrong with the factory grind on the knife. so I started bad mouthing my SH2.
I had it reground and traded it.
well since then I have become pretty proficient at sharpening knives with waterstones and such. shaving sharp. I now know grinds fairly well. and realize that I had a few people sharpen my knife after a camping trip a while back. and they were the ones that thinnned the edge to where it could be chipped so badly.
I am truly sorry for blaming Busse knives for my own early ineptitude at not being able to indentify the real edge grind.
they are great knives and will speak highly of them from now on.
you have my permission to reprint this on bladeforums general discussion.
regretfully
