I carried a couple different fixed blades from 2.75 to 4.5 inches long in town, on the job (landscaping) and at school and I never got a dirty look that I noticed and I never had LEO's bother me.

Now that I'm in a state that allows carry of fixed blades I carry my CPM-M4 Spyderco mule team.

Carry any number of fixed blade styles, but always carry one daily. Never had a problem. Of course, I didn't ever carry a FB to work in an office, but no office job now.

I've been carrying a Busse Leaner Meaner Street in a deep-carry kydex sheath I made for it clipped to my front right pocket for a few weeks now.

...oh the chaos that would erupt if a fixed blade was carried into an office.

I did for a bit, but never really needed one, just had it for shifts and giggles. When I did it was an O1 custom by Big Chris, an old Carbon V Master Hunter or a Dawson custom in 52-100.

Can you post a pic of your deep-carry sheath? I`d like to get one made. Thanks

Sure Dave. I made it from carbon fibre patterned kydex. The sheath and clip were designed to be on an angle so while wearing cargo pants/shorts the knife sits vertically which makes it discreet but still visible so as not to be concealed. It turned out to be a really comfortable and functional design and still leaves plenty of room in the pockets for other stuff as well. The top sheath I made for my buddy for neck carry since the stock sheath had terrible retention.

I carry either a Polkowski Kasper fixed blade or a fighter from Pohan Leu, concealed almost 100% of the time when out around town shopping, etc.
I've open carried a Busse Team Gemini or one of my Cold Steel bowies on a few occasions though when shopping en route to going hiking or camping or something similar. Haven't had any problems other than the larger knives being problematic comfort wise in our Subaru.
Once I get some kydex sheaths made for the larger knives I think open carrying them will be much more comfortable/versatile.

I use to open carry a fixed blade but the cops started to give me a hard time about it so I stoped.

I enjoy a fix blade on my belt. I may get a necker knife to wear around my neck.

I may make a sheath for my BK13 and wear it around town, can you see a cop going in front of a Judge with that charge. "Well your Honor, he walked out of the local Steak and Shake using it as a tooth pick and I felt I had to act".

I need to move deeper into the woods. I want to carry a BK7 on my belt all day long.

This Anza has been on my belt for the past two and a half weeks, aside from Sunday morning at Church, I don't think it would be super appropriate for the occasion, but could probably pull it off. Nobody's said a peep, it stays under my untuck T shirt, and exists unobtrusively. I'm kinda done with modern one-handers in favor of smaller fixed blades at the moment, maybe it's just another phase.

Same here. The people at my church wouldn't mind but probably still not the best idea. I've had a leather man/sog on my belt since I was 7 and always brought them to church.
