Open D-Guard by Roger Bergh

Last year I bought this open D-guard from Roger. The blade is a 3 bar composite W-twist firecracker damascus. The fittings are all nickel-steel damascus and the overall lenght is 13 1/2 inches. The handle is made of narwal as is the stand.

It is featured in David Darom's last book (page 74/75) but due to manipulating the colours the handle came out a bit more yellow than in real life.

That is just stunning - I'd love to see some detail close-ups if possible. A real work of art. Not sure I'd call it a D-guard, though.
