Today I really needed to get some work done...get my notes arranged into some semblance of order. Being the father of a teenage daughter, a four year old daughter, and a wife who can engage me in more conversation in two hours than most people can in two weeks....I needed a more quiet office to work in. So...I decided to go for more of an open office approach.

The drive to work was nice...

pedestrian traffic was very light for a Sunday.

Had no trouble finding a parking space.

Walking through the halls was a pleasant experience.

The floral print wallpaper is nice.

and the potted plants were pretty cool.

The desk chair isn't as comfortable as I'd like, but the trade off for the view is worth it.

After I got part of my work done, it was time for lunch....so off to the kitchen I go....

First I had to get the stove going....

Then to the fridge to see what my choices were. I chose some Polish Sausage, fried with some fresh garlic in a little extra virgin olive oil, a chunk of sharp cheddar cheese, and a big hunk of sun-dried tomato and basil French bread....and some sweet tea.

I had company drop in to chat while I ate. They tried really hard to talk me out of my tea.

After lunch it was time for a walk...get some fresh air, and think a little. The wallpaper in hallway leading out back has a nice fruit and nut motif...

Out back I took a walk around the water garden, it was nice and peaceful out there.

After a peaceful stroll to walk off my lunch it was back to work for me....and then that long drive home. Working on Sunday can sure be rough, but I guess some body's gotta do it....so it might as well be me.

Are you hiring? I have some skills, and am willing to learn more!
Oh good...I was affraid my sense of humor was just off tonight,

Hahahahaha......,Yeah right, like I could actually afford to hire anybody for anything.

I thought this was a thread about an open source productivity software suite and was wondering what it was doing in W&SS. :)

I like your version of Open Office much better.

I'll work for free, if you include the meal with the job?

Eh...some meals are leaner than others man.

I was afraid of that after I posted it.....

Hey mistwalker, your office really drives me crazy, esp. when compared to mine...

Well...it's not exactly centrally located, or close to anything.....but the rent's not bad

Man...I hate it when I'm stuck in my indoor office....as I am now .

I hate Mondays too!

Thanks man! Glkad you liked it. I love those shots too. I was lucky to get the pics of the honey bees, and they are now among my favorite shots.

I'm sitting here staring at one of my monitors. Beyond that, outside the window, I have a lovely view of a porch railing, a tree, and concrete. Somehow, Mist, your office looks a whole lot more appealing than mine. I think I need to get out more.

Great shots, and a great thread, as usual. I'm still envious of the countryside you have back there.

Hahaha, well, the toilet facilities aren't exactly the greatest, and I have to rig a shelter over my desk whenever it rains because the roof is abit leaky, but the view out the windows is worth a few sacrifices lol.

Glad you like the shots!!

I think I could deal with the bathroom issue, and even the rain — it's dragging a big Mac tower, two 22-inch monitors and all the peripheral junk attached to 'em that bothers me. Besides, where would I plug them in? I do mostly 3D illustration, and a laptop won't work for me, unfortunately — otherwise I'd be outside a lot more.

I know...but that office is just a part time office. The laptop works fine....but I don't have a cord long enough to make it from the parking lot to my desk :D
