Other than a rustbucket. I don't think I've ever heard of a knife sticking open or closed.
But thought I'd ask.

A couple:
Opinel knives are known to stick when the wood becomes wet and swolen. I can confirm that this is true, but it's still possible to open.

I also have a DonnieBrook folder (the imported bastard child of Blackjack Knives). For the first few years it was ~very~ difficult to open.

I've had liner locks stick in the open position and be very difficult to close. I've also heard of this happening w/ framelocks.

I have a Hen & Rooster folding hunter lock-back with a swing-guard that was almost impossible to unlock without lots of force (when it was new).

I have a Cold Steel Twistmaster that got compressed once in the closed position. The blade cut into the handle and the knife was stuck shut. I got it open though.

I had a Cold Steel Ti-Lite (Ti version) stuck open when it was new, it was very, very tight. I finally was able to get it closed.

Had a coin that was in my pocket jam the blade of my AFCK closed. Don't carry coins in the same pocket as a knife without a full length backspacer.

I had an AFCK jam open when some debris from a ceiling tile got stuck between the liner and scale, it was really wedged in there and I had to pull the scale off to get it out. I also had a BM 710 stick open when a small chunck of wood got caught in the lock mechanism, but that was easy to clear.

A buddy of mine has a laguiole that is damn near impossible to close, especially without endangering ones hand. I don't know if this is typical but i do know that it's annoying as all get out.
