I picked up an Open Season Boning Pro knife a while back as a user knife it had a slight chip in the back bottom of one of handle scales. I could of sent it in to Buck to replace it but it's a user so I didn't care that much I did take off the scales and sanded both sides to match and while having them off decided to thicken the handle a little I cut two shims from a piece of 1/8" plexiglass I had laying around and placed on either side and replaced the original screws with longer ones. I like it better then the original handle width, I do wish I had a slightly thinner shim stock but it feels better in my larger sized hands.
