I picked up an Open Season Boning Pro knife a while back as a user knife it had a slight chip in the back bottom of one of handle scales. I could of sent it in to Buck to replace it but it's a user so I didn't care that much I did take off the scales and sanded both sides to match and while having them off decided to thicken the handle a little I cut two shims from a piece of 1/8" plexiglass I had laying around and placed on either side and replaced the original screws with longer ones. I like it better then the original handle width, I do wish I had a slightly thinner shim stock but it feels better in my larger sized hands.

The plexiglass probably looks cool under the scales.

When my wife gets home from work I'll try and post a photo or two she has a google account I think I used last time a posted a photo.
