just opening a can with my esee izula II, love this little blade i have used it for everything from digging holes to opening cans to using it as a steak knife and as a hard use fishing knife. my blade has been used for about 2 years and is more of less in perfect functional condition

Bad ass. A knife being used instead of being polished and coddled. Looks like you were grabbing the blade edge or was that some ninja move.

Have you ever found the blade to be too thick? In my opinion the Izula is great but I hate how thick it is. I think it should be the same 1/8" blade stock as the ESEE 3.

honeslty didnt realize my pinky finger moved so much when i did it till i filmed it, if i do get cut doing that its usually the can..(it has opened hundreds of cans..)
i kinda noticed the izula to be a little thick, whenever i removed a good bit of the blade from use and sharpening, i had a hard time getting a good blade on it because it was so thick i had to use a gritty sharpening stone to really bring the edge geometry to the way i would want it and it took a few hours.
the izula is the perfect rough use knife for me, its the right length for me to have it when i need it and it tough enough to deal with the nonsense i do to it..
