Hi, i've been reading about people referring to the wave as a bottle opener (caplifter?) and i just cannot figure out how to do it!

Anyone please help, summer is coming here in Sweden and i need to be well prepared

I used mine a couple of weekeneds ago to open some Red Stripe bottles.

It doesn't do it in one motion.

The key is to pry on the little ridges around the caps themselves.

A little at a time is the key to success.

It's not too hard...
Having lived for a while in Europe (where you don't normally find screw-tops) you learn to open beer bottles w/ nearly anything. First, grip the bottle tightly in yr fist about 1/2" below the cap. While using the 2nd knuckle of the index finger as a fulcrum, Insert bottom Bic lighter (works great), back of knife blade, etc. under crown of cap & lift/twist. It takes a little practice, but you'll have caps flinging off in all directions in no time flat. One caveat- you may scratch the black finish off of your knife...

Couldn't you just stab the cap with a knife and pull it off"? The Commander might be kind of large, maybe a CQC7 or, better yet, a mini CQC7.

Hm, John is right of course, that's why we have Leatherman tools.

I just wanted to be able to use my tools at their optimum performance level...

I think that i've got it now, i'll try it out on various beach parties during the summer and let you know how it performed.
Ya know, the Swedish bikini team drinks a lot of beers

Well, y'all should live in Washington State. The Seattle Rain Festival lasts from Jan 1 thru Dec 31! And all the women up here are Environmentalist Wackos[I call them "Watermelons": Green on the outside, Red on the inside, Communists in drag] so they don't shave!

Summer in Sweden is great, probably because, as you say, that winter lasts 11 months here in Sweden, one's not used to see people, everyone is hibernating and waiting for the sun!

Brigadier, I went to Seattle once, ONCE.

It was a layover to cetch a connecting flight to Montana. It was raining AND snowing at the same time.

Jonas, I was at the beach yesterday eatin at my favorite Pizza place and watched a wreck happen. Two guys tagged drivers side corners while watching some cute little blonde in a thong run down the boardwalk. Imagine my suprise that both cars were rentals. LOL
