It was an awesome day to spend in the woods but no luck today. We have two weeks to chase whitetails with a shotgun. I will post the rundown as the season progresses. I'm not hunting everyday because I have to get in shop time. Knives still have to be made even though it's deer season. :D

Good luck to ya Scott, I'm betting you'll bag a nice one. Knives have to be made, but we need those knifes tested in the field as well:thumbup:

Good luck to you. I have bagged a couple more does, but no buck yet. Its not looking good for me this year. It will be the first year in a long time I have not shot a buck. Oh well, thats hunting.

P.S. the PSK worked great on the doe!!!

I was off all week hunting every day and didn't see a single deer in the woods!

My wife saw 1 buck but didn't get a shot.

There's lots of deer, see them in the fields at night, but around here there are NO ACORNS. So I guess the deer are just coming out at night and then bedding down and where I live there is not enough pressure to jump any up.

I'm going again this weekend, Sat so maybe they'll be some more people hunting and move them.

On the other hand the walnuts and hickory nuts are thick and the squirrels are having a heyday!

One more day to hunt with the shotgun. No luck so far. Next Sat. the 20th, late muzzleloader opens for two weeks. This weekend i'm heading to Harrisburg, Pa. for a gunshow on Sat. then Sun. down to the Chesapeake knife show in Timonium.
