I'm preferential to Spydie Holes, although I have all the others, the Spyderco hole seems to be my favorite.

How about you?

I can't vote either.
Anyway, I prefer the Spyderco thumb-hole to all others.

Good luck,
Allen.

Nanny nanny boo boo, I voted. :) Gimme a thumb disc like on a Terzoula custom anyday.

I would have to say it varts on who made it...Some knifes have good holds others good studs ect...I would have to go with stud though as thats been my favorite thus far...:D

Buzz i guess it slows down the server? hehe

Sebbie, i like the stud of course.
TNT, the hole.
Ken Onion, the flipper.
Auto's, the button.
Slip Joint's, the nail nick.
Fixed Blades, heck it comes open. :p LOL

I'd have the go with the thumb stud. The spidey hole doesn't work well for me on some of their knives because my fingers are really long. Thumb studs are good no matter what size knife their on. :)

Thumb hole for my knives please, but not ellipse like the BM ones (on the griptillian for example)

And no place to put a check mark next to the Axis Lock...hehe that be my most favourite and then like NGK-Webmaster says...Latch drop openings are next in line!

oh...I could have voted...but mine wasn't listed, BUT, I'll check among the ones that are available though...thumbstud most likely...;)

The hole but I prefer the beveled version that BM put on my old AFCK. I've had Spyderco holes sharp enough to cut my thumb, now they get treated with my Dremel before entering the rotation.

For the most part I have always liked the thumb stud over anything else. Just recently picked up a couple of J.W. Smith folders though that make use of the thumb disc and I have come to really like it so far. As a matter of fact I have ordered a knife built directly from John and am going with the disc.

Even though the Spydie hole is awesome and may even be easier to use, My vote goes for the Thumb Stud

It's a close one but the thumb disk would win over the Spydie hole for me...

Since I'm still a peasant and unable to vote, I'll just post my vote here and say I prefer in order:
Thumb pegs
Spydie hole
Thumb disk

I have little use for folders that open any other way.:p

All the best,
Mike U.

Thumbholes for me, most definitely. Although, if a knife that I like only comes with a thumbstud, that won't keep me from buying it.

Do any production knives have thumb disks? I've never handled one.

I didn't like Spydie holes until I used them. So for me it's holes, then in a distant 3rd, a tie for disk and stud.
