Opinel. How do you make a new nail nick?

I have an Opinel 8 carbon that I might shorten the blade on, and I want to make a nail nick instead of a huge easy open notch in the handle.

Do you have any suggestions as to how this can be done? I'm thinking that a Dremmel might be used, but I'm open for suggestions.

It would also help us if you explained why you're needing to make a nail nick

I might shorten and reprofile the blade so much that the original nail nick will be gone.

I'd say Dremel too, with some kind of cut-off wheel. I think they make one that's like .040" or .045" thick. That seems just about right for a fingernail (assuming you're just going to do a straight nick).
