Hi guys,
I'm surprised that this is the first time I get into this subforum...never too late tho
So a couple of friends of mine asked me some suggestions for their new kitchen knives (they're moving in together). They know that I love cooking and that I have a passion for blades. As for them, they're not really into cooking but they will need knives anyway.
I use Global and I am happy with them, but they are looking for something cheaper...so I suggested Victorinox.
Yesterday my friend came asking me about Opinel kitchen knives (he saw them somewhere, and he immediately related them with my Opinel #7 that he has seen me carry).
I have a very good opinion of Opinels..meaning classic folding knives. But I have no experience with their kitchen knives. Anybody here has ever used them? Are they made of the same steels used for folders (Sandvik / Carbon)? Would u recommend them?
