Well, I was in the mood to carry an Opinel this morning, but I must have been half asleep when I loaded my pockets. Imagine my surprise when I reached into my pocket and pulled out the object in the photo.. It's difficult to cut stuff with a file handle

LOL... that´s pretty cool!

Ok - this could happen to everyone in a hurry - especially in relationship to the handleshape...

Hahaha,
Anyone around you get why that is funny, or just us knife knuts?

Thanks for the laugh this morning.

Thats an oops I could easily see myself making. Shows you have a great since of humor and humility to share that with us. Thanks for that.

Chris

Nah, folks around here either get bored, or think I'm a serial killer when I talk about knives. I didn't even mention it.

Ha! :D
If a knife knut looked quick, it does look like the backside of a closed Opinel....

When I read the title and then read "half asleep", I was thinking that you put it in your pocket without the lock engaged and it opened in your pocket.
Glad to see that wasnt the case!

I guess the file handle should go in the tool box instead of the knife drawer.

How can you all laugh at this poor man! I hope you had a back up knife and you didn't have to go through the day like some savage trying to open things with your teeth.

Maybe it's trying to tell you something.
"Hey, pvicenzi, grab an old sawz-all blade, and turn me into a friction folder!" ;)

I keep a #6 in my desk for such emergencies. Here it is with the offending file handle...

Funny stuff right there! Often, I reach into my pocket and pull out a knife I did not expect.
