Opinel question

I'm looking to get another carbon opinel but I don't know what size to get, I just know what I want to end up with.
I want to mod it into a wharncliff and I want to end up with around a 3 inch blade.

I'm looking for someone who has a #10 or #9 and can tell me how long the edge is up to the belly. I want to drop the point down just before the belly so it's just a flat edge; no belly to it. I'm thinking it'll be the 10 that I can fit a 3 inch wharnie inside it. I'll be taking an inch off the blade though if that's the case :/ oh well.

My No. 9 has 2 1/3" of flat cutting edge.

ha I plan on it, i just have to get around to buying the blade then the will to lop of the first third of a brand new blade then actually get around to doing it which is the hard part working 60 hour weeks and it's now winter weather where i live. 30*F for a high is warm this time of year lol. I also gotta figure out what to do with the handle then too.
