purchased three of them a few months ago. Quality of fit and finish is very good. Grain is as close to perfect as it can be on the handles. I was very impressed with the hatchet, and for the money it just can't be beat. I would rank it up there with my GB and for a fraction of the cost!

I have owned a Husky hatchet for four months. It's a great tool. Buy yourself one with confidence!

I really like mine but the head came loose within days of use, so I had to get a metal pin from my local hardware store and drive it into the wood which fixed the problem. I wasn't happy having to do this on a brand new hatchet to say the least, so I consider these a "project" hatchet. Once pinned though they are great. Another alternative without having to worry about loose heads and such is the new Fiskars X7 14" hatchet, which actually outperforms my Husqvarna Hatchet. Plus the X7 has a lifetime warranty whereas the Husky has none.
