Goodmorning Everyone,
What do you guys think of the Work Sharp sharpening system? Did a search and didnt turn up anything and I was really surprised it hasnt been discussed; maybe I didnt search correctly. Anyways, saw a demo at a gunshow and seemed to work really good and since I cant seem to put an edge on a knife to save my life.... I have watched videos, practised and bought all sorts of stones and spent countless hours trying and NOTHING!!! Gave my knife to the guy at the show to put an edge on it and BINGO! in a matter of minutes, he had an edge that shaved.
I have been using that knife and it still has a really scarp edge, so it just didnt put a wire edge on it.
Anyone else have one of these or have experience with it? Amazon has them for $68 dollars and thought I'd ask before I pull the trigger.

Thanks,
Ram

I thought of purchasing one, but my country uses a 220V mains and i find it a hassle to buy transformers and such. And i can put decent edges on my knives using waterstones anyway, so i postponed my purchase, i'm still looking forward to buying one though. It seems like a cool mini sander to have.

Check the "maintenance, tinkering...." forum. There are at least two long threads. I have the worksharp and I'm pleased with it, btw.

The Work Sharp has been discussed a lot in the Maintenance section. I have one and it's great, especially for reprofiling a blade. What used to take me hours on a Lansky or freehand Norton stone takes minutes on the WorkSharp.
