Can someone give me their opinion of this knife? I mostly want it for EDC. How is the quality as compared to the Columbia M16 w/aluminum scales or the BM Griptilian.
Do you think $95.00 is a fair price for this knife?

Thanks -
Joe

I've got one. The ergonomics are excellent, the lock functions superbly, and there is no blade play. The only thing that I don't like is the single grind on the secondary bevel. When I cut things, the blade moves off to the beveled side. $95.00 is a great price if it's new. :)

awsome quality - chisle grind is not great all around utility, but its a sweet knife and thats a good price. the cqc7 is a classic design that every knife lover should or has owned at one time. As far as compaired to columbia.. its in a diffferent and higher league IMO. BM is more similar quailty but neither of those others sport the g-10 slabs.

most any EKI is better than any CRKT imho. the CQC7 is a great knife and is almost a must have for an EKI afficianado (though i dont have one now, i do have an I&I tanto though which is kinda similar.....) the price is OK not great, is it waved? really CQC7's with out the wave are not in as much demand as the waved mods and therefore can be had cheaper, i have seen std '7s quite often LNIB for $90 or so. if ya cant get a deal on it i would prefer several other models like the SOCFK which is waved w/a '7 blade and a specwar handle, great knife too. or the super '7, or the HD7, or the I&I tanto. but they are mostly in the $125 and up range.

Remember, A is spear point and B is Tanto. Just brining this up because you mentioned the M16 =]

Thanks everyone

I don't think it's the waved version , in the ad it looks like the plain satin blade without the "hook" on top.

But I found a black version with wave for 120.00.

If anyone knows any better deals let me know, because even at 95.00 it would be backorder until the end of October ( I emailed the vendor).

Well after searching, I couldn't find one anywhere in stock, but one vendor had a special on the Emerson Blackbird with a partially serrated black coated blade for $89.00. I think this model might be discontinued , but it appears to be real slim and lightweight, perfect for my EDC since I generally wear a suit or dress pants....

I'll post when I get it....
