Opinion on a Schrade knife?

I was thining about ordering a new Schrade desert ironwood or a wildlife series fixed blade knife.

The consistent line here on the new Schrades (made in China) is that they're not nearly as good as the older US-made versions. There is actually a Schrade collector's forum at BFC dedicated to the old Schrades.
