Hey all just wanted to get your thoughts on this knife as I wait for it to get shipped. Its the serrated Spyderco Native in black. Its been a really long time since I've purchased anything from Spyderco but I'm slowly starting to get interested in them again. The wicked serrations on this blade really caught my eye and helped sell me on it I think.

I just caught the Spyderco bug again and if I lived in the US and could get the Native for 40$ I would own one already. I think the black steel and the serrations look wicked. congrats.

Hmmm. Is the black available at Wal*Mart? I really like it.

Also, if Spyderco offered a two knife set, one silver plain,
one black serrated, and offered a small discount (say,
seven bucks), would you be interested?

I would.

I don't like serrations and I don't like coated blades but other that than the native is a good knife I have a non coated non serrated native myself.

The Spyderco Native is awesome (I have one without the blk blade coating). The stainless steel Native looks like a very nice knife also. The only thing you might not like about it is the black clip, since after a while the black coating starts to come off. I took off the black clip and replaced it with the clip from the SS Native, and i think it looks soooo much better.

I don't care for a serrated knife as my "primary" carry folder, but I often carry a second folder in my weak side (left) pocket. For military duty, it's a Spyderco Military and when off duty, it's the smaller Native which is an outstanding weak side pocket folder in a small package. The serrations are top notch and I really like the ergo's of the Native.

Thanks for all your thoughts guys, much appreciated. I'll be sure to take some photos of my new Native in action once it arrives.
ROCK 6, hope your knives serve you well over there in Iraq. God bless.
