his started off as a piece of scrap 1095 that I was practicing convex grinds on. Its completely convex ground both top and bottom - looks like () when u look straight on at the tip. I started thinking "This would make a decent little knife" so voila!

Now should I make a wrist strap with the extra paracord hanging or take it off???

Will be ordering some stuff to make a kydex sheath for it most likely.

That's up to you man. Either way you did a pretty good job. For me I would prefer it cut short, but I know plenty would feel the other way about it.

Honestly wasnt planning on making a knife at all. It just kind of developed as I was practicing some grinds. Acid etch came out pretty good too. Should be a cool little knife when done. Im kinda leaning to no wrist strap but just wanted others opinions.

I really like that etch ... i would say cut the cord and if you still want a lanyard just make it loop through the hole. I find lanyards will fray no matter what so that way instead of rewrapping it would just be replacing the one bit of cord.

Tie the ends together and wear it as a necker. Yea, you might get a little bleeding from your chest but what a conversation starter it would be!

Nice work. The convex to zero is an outstanding bevel.
Thank you. I actually can do convex and flat grinds with ease but hollow grinds are giving me so much trouble for some reason. Need to get some scraps and practice some more. LOL maybe Ill have another little knife come out of it.

If you want to practice for cheap, try getting a few pieces of wood at around the thickness you want to make stuff from....that way you have a feel for what the wheel will do and how to alter your grinds before using steel. Knife looks good btw :)
