Opinion requested on Emerson Knife

I have never consciously purchased an Emerson I thought was a knockoff. But while rummaging through inventory I realized I might have one.

It's supposed to be a CQC-7. But upon careful inspection there is a feature on the blade I don't recognize. I was always the knife only had an
edge on one side but this has an edge on both. The fit and finish of the knife and scales look genuine.

I'm wondering if any Emerson experts might have an answer to my question?

I'm no expert but I'm leaning towards fake. Only Emerson I know of with a conventional v grind is the CQC 7V. Or the Kershaw models. Also the pivot on Emerson knives is slotted screwdriver for easy adjustment on the field. They have never used torx.

I thought as much. Sorry, to say its pretty nice. I suspected Kershaw but it has scales on both sides. However, in my defense I had no idea it was a knock-off!!!

Also the logo looks wrong and the blade is missing the "serial number" under the thumb disk.

unfortunately that 7 you posted above is fake......

What disappoints me is I can't remember where I purchased lt. But I don't remember getting a deal, I paid Emerson price.
Live and learn, toss that thing in your tool box or your vehicle's glove box and get yourself the real deal Emerson, you won't be disappointed!!!
