So it turns out my addiction isn't cured yet......Shocker:cool:

I was just wondering what each of you thought was the best looking coloration for the SR2, since I was thinking about getting one soon. I'm kinda leaning towards the satin bladed versions, but I keep going back and forth between the red and orange.

Yes, I know I should just make up my own damn mind, but whatever. I like opinions :)

So which colorations are your favorite and why? PICS OF COURSE:D:thumbup:

I picked orange over the green and red SR-2 Aluminum. Keeps the annodization very well and it's a nice shade. I can take pictures of mine tomorrow but for now here's a picture of it from the LionSteel website.

God that color is sexy:thumbup: it's almost golden!

I kinda dig the red it's a color you don't see very often. The orange is a very close second.

Yeah I really like the red too, but I think if I had to look at one color of sr2 every day, I think I would pick the orange.
Oh and so I don't have to start another thread, could someone tell me a little about this knife? I have no clue what kind of performance the steel will have, or how much "hard use" the knife can take. It looks like a bigger, bulkier hard use folder, but I'm not sure how the aluminum handles would fare in that role, seeing that there's no steel liners
Is this thing pretty tough?

I have one of the Orange SR2's in my Extra Big Auction...uhhh...Y-site watch list pretty much constantly. The wife said she might like one of the Blade HQ purple versions, but of course, those run pretty expensively, so maybe for Christmas or something....but darn if all the colors aren't gorgeous.

The aluminium handle is 'cut' out of 1 piece of solid aluminum and it doesn't feel flimsy in any way. The steel is Sleipner, an upgrade of D2, so i guess 'hard use' will not be a problem. The blade is 4mm (or 0.16 inch) thick.
The only problem with hard use is that it is almost too beautifull to use lol.
Also, when you have bigger hands, u should probably look at the SR1...

This is mine:

We'll thanks for the help guys, but I just found a great deal on a zt 0770cf, so the sr2 will have to wait

The LionSteel SR-2 Aluminum has a solid/integral/monoblock frame of 7075 Ergal Aluminum which is as tough as steel. Uses a stainless steel insert on the lock bar. It's extremely solid and built to be used hard regardless of the aesthetics. Here's mine:

I liked the clip point blade too. The purple just blew me away when I saw this knife the first time. You could track down the Nutnfancy edition I think they may still be here and there
