Does anybody have a Fact? If so, how do you like it? Good value? It's sure good-looking and I like those spearpoint blades, but I wonder how practical it is for EDC. It looks a little long to drop into a jeans pocket.

I love mine it's my current favorite knife. Due to its thinness and deep carry clip, it carrys very well in the pocket. It's not the greatest slicer in the world but I have plenty of other knives to slice apples or whatever. It's an awesome tactical letter opener.

I had one and I really liked it! It takes the essence of the 940 - a lot of blade in a slim (in terms of blade and handle height) and lightweight and easily carried package - and takes it to a another level! Aesthetically, I loved it; the length when open was very cool (think a long and extremely pointy pocket spear) and given the handle isn't very tall, it's a little thicker than I expected it to be, but that extra girth combined with the traction on the handle made it very secure in my hand with good to great ergos (not "excellent" though).

However, the reason I moved mine along was because while cool to play with and look at, I didn't find the long slender spear point blade to lend itself well to my cutting chores. Yes, it definitely cut things when I needed it to, but not as well and as effortlessly as many of my other knives (Bugout, PM2, etc). As well, given how pointy it is, the very end of the tip is a little fragile (mine rounded a bit with some honest use pretty quickly)

A cool and efficient carry option for a 4" folder (definitely has its own unique style different from many other knives these days, especially with the current trend of "overbuilt" folders), and while I see it as more of a self-defense oriented blade (if you're into that) it'll get the job done just fine for other tasks imho; however, if it's cutting power you want, it's no slicer.

ETA: in case I didn't make this clear, it carried very well during my time with it. I have no problems carrying a ZT0452 (on the few occasions I do) and found the footprint of this guy to be even smaller!

Thanks much for the detailed response! Yeah, that's what I was wondering about. So while it is a pretty sweet-looking knife, I'm thinking maybe I should spring for a 940 first, which to my shame I do not yet have.

Both are great choices, although you really can't go wrong with a 940 imho. I loved my 940 so much, I decided to upgrade to a SMKW exclusive! While it isn't God's gift to slicing either, I definitely find the blade shape to be more conducive to a variety of cutting tasks, and as well, it's got a smaller footprint while still being a large enough size to possibly fulfill some more demanding cutting chores!

Please let us know how you land on this one!

It's a great knife to be honest and surprised even. Bought it for the unique factor but it's actually very functional and stronger then expected.

Not the best prybar though unfortunately. Can't even tighten screws with that point.
If that's okay with you I actually highly recommend it. (please be gentle I know the fact is not for prying, I only use my 940s for that.)
