Opinions about this Snow and Nealley?

I got this Snow and Nealley as a gift a few years back. I believe it was the “our best axe” model, and it has a 26" handle.

I don’t have much experience using axes (been a power tool user until recently) and am curious to hear what y’all think of this axe. Is it worth sharpening and using, or am I better off looking for something else?

(I’m trying to upload photos but haven’t figured out how quite yet.)

I almost bought one myself. In the early 2000’s the brand was being produced i over seas, and the product took a hit in quality for cost saving measures. It was picked up by the Amish and now is produced here in the states.

I personally would have no trouble using that boys axe. I say put a good edge on that and enjoy it. It’s a quality tool.
