What are yalls opinions of the Camillus Cuda Max Bowie.

Good knife....bad knife?

Thanks

I think you'll find that the only objection anyone has to it is its size. As long as you don't have a problem with that, and a lot of us don't, it is one of the best knives made.

LOVE it.

Frame lock is awesome. Carries great no matter what you're wearing, thin, and big. D2 is sharp stuff and the titanium handles you won't be destroying.

In short get one, you won't be disappointed!

It is my favorite design for a folder. Camillus does a great job executing Darrel's design.

If you like 'em big, try to find a MADD MAXX. That is the CUDA MAXX with a 7" blade. "Now this is a knife." :D

I actually have both and I find that the 5.5" CUDA MAXX carries easier than the 7" and I do carry it periodically. But there are not a whole lot of plkaces in the Washington, DC, area where either is welcome.

As to quality, you will not be dissatisfied with the CUDA MAXX for the price. But you must remember that it IS made to a price, a fact that becomes apparent when you look at the lack of finished machining on some of the surfaces.

When I finally decide to buy one of those enormous 7 inch MAXX's, I'd also get me one of these. Whenever the MAXX comes to mind, I think of the International CXT. Dunno why... :D

the maxx is a good one imho, i have had 1 bowie maxx, a dagger maxx, and a 4" and 5.5" darrel ralph custom maxx's, the cammilus and custom ones are very close. of course the custom has better F&F, but cost 2X to 3X as much also.

FWIW i like the dagger blade maxx, just looks better than the bowie to me.
