I've been in the knife buying mood lately, and ordered up a benchmade 53 and a vic 125th anniversary climber... and find myself wanting a few others.

which lends me to some questions.

i really want a ti-frame lock, and the HEST folder thats coming out seems to be perfect for me... i hear NOTHING but good things about esee and that excites me. general feeling on this one?

i've been eye balling a necker for some time. love the price points of the becker and the izula, however for a neck knife i was hoping for something smaller, and the shapes don't really appeal to me. i see the fehrman short stop and damn, its quite perfect, no? any experience with their 3v and that knife specifically???

also, any suggestions for either category would be wonderful. don't want to break the $200 range yet for either, and specifically need help being exposed to nice fixed, but any ti frame locks i haven't heard of would be nice too

With that budget, you can get in the custom quality range. How about something like this for a necker:

Bark River Bravo necker and the Swamp Rat Swamp Warden are both lookers. I have the warden and that little knife is a beast and a half. It is literally the only knife I used for a month out in the field at Fort Lewis and I never found myself wishing for more.

Email sent; forgot to write the knife weight: 1.8 oz! (3.2 with the sheath and chain); pretty light but sturdy package
