My favorite knife store had CRKT Rollock's on sale for 10 bucks today...I can't leave that store without buying something...so I bit on the blue scaled one. It is an interesting little knife...surprised at some of the features, I love the way it opens, not as keen on the way it closes...but for the money..what the hey. Just wondered what you folks who have one think of it...I will probably carry it at work to open boxes with...least till I grow bored of it.

I also have a blue Rollock with a plain edge blade. I have the older model without the finger notch on the spine. It's a great little unique pocket knife. :) $10 is a bargain price. Enjoy!

I think it's a cool little knife.
But I do hate to get finger-prints on the blade while closing it.

Well, if you like colors I reckon it's okay. It'll open boxes but it's still one of those soft steel jobs.

I learned quickly to not mind the fingerprints on the Rollock blade. When I first got it I wiped off the blade with a paper napkin until all my fingerprints were gone. I tried to close it without getting any more fingerprints on the blade so like a dumb @$$ I bunched up the napkin against the tip of the knife and pressed down on it with my finger tip, trying to push the blade back into the handle. The tip pierced the napkin rather quickly then it proceeded to pierce my fingertip. I immediately began sucking my finger and headed the bathroom to get a bandage. When I looked in the mirror I noticed that the blood fom my finger tip had splashed across eye glasses like a cheap horror movie. Now, I just leave the fingerprints alone on the Rollock.

It is a bit difficult to explain...but you push down on the spine of the blade and it pops up and you slide it to the front until it clicks in...very easy to open. There is a lock on the bottom and you push that and let it fall back and then push it back in to close it...one hand opening is a snap with some practice...one hand closing...well still working on that one.
