I can't find much on Blackhawk! knives. I know Blackhawk! makes some awesome tactical gear, but how are their knives?

I have their fixed blade nightedge. Holds up great to everything I've thrown at it.

Try to find a Master's Of Defense. Much better.

Their knives are okay but overpriced for the materials. I'd suggest Cold Steel, Kershaw, and Hogue well before Blackhawk.

If it's the Blackhawk that purchased the original Masters of Defense company in the early 2000's they really dumbed the MOD brand down and into oblivion. I therefore do not like them.

I'd say for knives they may be comparable to Gerber.

I bought my son a CQD Mark I Type E. Retails for $105 and I think I got it for $80. Aus 8 blade, made in Taiwan. I don't think I got ripped off, but it did not get a lot of knife for the money. I got the knife out again and it has some blade play which a knife of this price should have. As others have said, the original Masters of Defense knives were much better. Either MOD sold off the brand or they really cut back.

Blackhawk is NOT the company it used to be. At one time it was some former Team guys that started it, and their stuff was made here, and was very decent. They then sold out to another company. Now the equipment is made overseas in Taiwan and Vietnam. I'm not saying some ok products can't be had, but it is nothing like the original Blackhawks of the mid nineties.
