Does anyone else own or have an opinion about this knife?

Having just started to get into knives, I bought a Boker Magnum Forest Ranger two weeks ago. I'm happy with it so far: it's sharp, feels balanced and solid in my hand, and has clean lines and a handsome appearance.

But I'm not sure I can trust my judgment. It cost only $19 shipped and is Chinese-made, which I know is anathema to many on Bladeforums.

I'd appreciate any reflections from other owners or if someone would point me to a review. Did I buy a good knife or should I prepare for something to go wrong?

boker makes some good cheap knives so don't worry about it they are a good starting point. I've used many bokers and never had any break or any major problems.

Thanks for the answer! I'm enjoying the Forest Ranger so far and hope to keep it in working trim for a long time.

Going up a notch in price, I also bought a Boker Wharcom: a cool, striking design, shaving-sharp out of the box, and good for everyday-carry.

One day when I can spend more on a knife I'll give Spyderco & Benchmade knives a try, but for now my budget's modest, and I'm happy with the value-for-money of my two Boker knives.
