Ok I am going to buy another bowie. Looking at the Down Under bowie, TrailMaster and an Ontario. Which do you fellas prefer. Just wondering. thanks and keepem sharp
Thanks, I've tried and owned several customs, prod. made etc.etc. Truth be told I am not even positive why I want another bowie. I'll ponder the choices though, many thanks and keepem sharp
PS are the Taiwan made CS the mar tempered bowies?
if you are talking "Down Under Knives" they are a scam operation selling overpriced imports. They have nothing to do with Australia, they are a Finnish company selling china made junk for way too much money. They also are banned from this forum as far as I know.
The OKC Marine Raider Bowie is by far the best bang for the buck$ out of the 3 you mentioned. It is 1/4" thick & the point is ungodly sharp. Mine drew blood the first time i touched it & i was being carefull. Made in America of 1095 high carbon steel. Has a double finger guard & the sheath is VERY functional with the swivel loop, but is cheap. Mine was dry (the leather parts) so i used some neatsfoot oil on it. I am very happy with it & like it enough to have a custom sheath made for it some day.
I've been looking at the Ontario line, Marine Raider model. I don't know man lots of choices and would like to keep it at under 2 bills if possible. Really leaning towards the CS TM mar tempered from Taiwan or the OKC Marine model. keepem sharp
