Was looking at the CRKT M4-02 with white bone online today and found the appearance somewhat appealing. I've never owned a CRKT product but have read some favorable and some not so favorable reviews/comments about their various models so thought I'd ask what you all think about it? Basically I like the way it looks and thought I might give CRKT a try. Always room for another addition to the collection and my EDC rotation. TIA

Well,I've got an M4-03 and I like it. I could probably pick it apart if I tried hard enough...but no easier than I could pick apart most of the knives I've seen craved in these forums that cost 4X as much with very little to show to convince me I'd ever need one. It works, it's "tough enough" for anyone smart enough to know how to use a knife. The handle works well in my hand with the pocket clip removed.
By the way, mine has a normal edge...those Veff serrations seem even more lame than "regular" serrations...what a waste of useable blade surface. Just have your dog along with you to chew on anything you would have used those serrations on.

I have two of their knives and don't care for the liner locks. They are ridged and give me a sore thumb. I don't understand the ridging it seems to serve no function

I have a regular M4 and like it, other than the Zeff serrations, bleh. What I like about the models with the bone is there is no auto LAWKS on them. I don't mind the LAWKS, but wish I could activate it on my own like some of the older models.

I have the M4-02 and for the money it's a nice little knife. I, too, bought it for the G10/bone combo and, even the the fit/finish isn't perfect and the liner lock is kinda thin but it is great for light duty, opens with a snap (I like how you can remove the the AO spring with just the removal of one screw) and it has a great look to it. for the 40 bucks or so you would pay for it, it is definitely worth the money. I suggest picking one up.

CRKT M4-02 EDC Almost impossible to open as intended. I've had three and sent them all back. Apparently, if you have the tools and the knowledge, there is a fix but that should be done by the factory. I also own a Squid from them and it is what it should be for the money.

Gotta look at the dates of the post before going for it, my guy
