opinions on csc barlow

New to the forum. I've been wanting to upgrade to a better quality traditional(I guess) pocket knife. I'm partial to the Barlow style and found a csc for a reasonable price but have seen mixed reviews. Just wanted to know if it would be a wise purchase or should I look more fore a gec brand knife. Also. I want it to have the classic look but be functional as well. Thanks.
