Opinions on Gerber Metolius fixed blades

I was wondering if anyone has or ever handled one. I'm thinking about buying one. Thanks for the help.

I've had the folder for awhile now and it's a solid good working knife.

Can't see that the fixed blade could be any less so.

I'm not typically a Gerber fan, but I do like this one.

I like Gerber, I have a profile fixed blade that I love! and a folder (the remix?) that I like a lot too. I think there great blades for the money!

BUT

A lot of people don't like gerber. They say they used to be great but now they stink because of low quality control.

I hear the LMF is made out of crap metal and is something you want to stay away from though.

Well, I have a Gerber LMF in all black and have not had any trouble, except where the knife fits into the sheath.
