As the title says, I am looking for opinions on Greg Lightfoots folders especially his flippers. I am mostly interested in hearing from folks that have owned and used them or at least hanlded them. I am leaning towards purchasing one of his flippers but have never touched one. Thanks in advance.

I got a chance to handle an FCF for a few minutes once. Not a whole lot I can say other than it was a super solid knife. Construction, fit and finish, materials were all top notch. I didn't do too much with the flipper because it wasn't my knife, but it was smooth. Greg's knives, folder or fixed, are outstanding.

I have no experience with the flipper model, but I do own a Lightfoot Max Velocity and have another on order which he indicates he will make and deliver next month.

I am impressed with both my own and other examples of his work that I have examined in the past. I like just about everything about my Max Velocity - good, attractive design, solid construction and very, very smooth operation.

I recently bought one of his damasteel companion knives. I really like the grinds on it and the kydex/sharkskin covered sheath with the teklok is outstanding. It makes a great fixed blade EDC.

Hey MD...

I've worked on quite a few of Greg's blades,, however they were all fixed blades.. all very nicely made and comfortable..
The folders I have handled were equally well made and thought out..
no doubt Greg knows how to make a knife..

If you like them,, don't think you can go wrong with one of them..
They demand their price,,and if taken care of will hold their value..

I owned a large magnum, and it was perfect! BG42 steel, carbon fiber handle slabs, and lock up was perfectiion. You won't go wrong owning one of his knives. keepem sharp

PS I have a really nice Bob T. that I would trade for another of Gregs 468 mags. hint hint-keepem sharp

I've used Greg's knives for many years. Love them. Very solid. And I think they're beautiful. I actually don't have a flipper...yet. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

All of Greg's current models are rugged and well made, the grinds are outstanding.

Folders I would recommend are the FCF, M1 and the Catchdog.

I especially like his fixed blades, they'll do anything you ask of them.
